Friday Night features

OH my goodness guys...  This time next week ALL of my sweet little angelic bundles of bliss will be out of school and home with me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 3 months.   Can't you tell how excited I am about this?  They have already been going more and more crazy every day.  I did a grooms cake for a wedding yesterday and I took all 4 kids with me to deliver it.  Long story short, the cake got there safe, but we left quickly because the boys almost broke about 4 things while I was setting it up.   Think 3 hyper bulls in a china shop.  They weren't being bad, then were just being boys.  (I will post about the cake and reception tomorrow, oh and if you have been waiting for the relief society crafty night tutorials I PROMISE to post them next week, PROMISE).

Anyway, my kids being home all the time and crazy has brought me to my first feature of the night....

drum roll please...

Crystal at Crystal and Co. has compiled 80 free or inexpensive things to do with your kids this summer.  Now according to Phineas and Ferb there are 104 days of summer vacation, but I am guessing you could come up with a few of your own, or repeat a few things, or just ignore your children's whining from boredom for a few days (that is what I am planning to do).

Maybe you could add "take them out for a photo shoot" to the list of things to do with you kids.  Then you would have to make this cute frame from It's Overflowing.  I love that she used little clothes pins the hang the picture.

SO CUTE!  Why didn't I think of doing this simple art from 52 Mantels.  LOVE it!

I also love this stenciled china cabinet from Burlap and Blue.  It is just so bright and fresh.

I was actually planning on doing this same thing to one of Emma's shirts.  But now I don't have to put nearly as much thought into it because I can just follow this great tutorial from Simple Simon and Company.  I have actually had a lot of sewing projects on my mind.  If only I had more time and less laundry.

  1. Hey thanks for sharing Gracie's dress!
ps---I wish I had less laundry as well...or at least a maid who would do it for me...

  2. Thanks for featuring my washi art!! It was such a quick and easy project!

Have a great summer with the kids! I hope you find lots of fun things to keep them busy :)

  3. Thank you so much for featuring my china cabinet! Hope you have a lovely weekend! xo
