Spring Fever Wreath and Friday Night Features

It has been SO nice here this week.  Just the kind of weather I like, 60 degrees and just a little bit cloudy, but still sunny.  Takes me back to summer days growing up in Alaska.   yeah...   Anyway, I have had some SERIOUS spring fever.  In fact I think everyone in my house has...  my kids have been TOTALLY CRAZY this week.

And since I did really feel like doing spring cleaning, I opted to do some spring crafting and made this super cute, fast, and easy wreath.

I had had my eye on this green wreath at my favorite local craft store for a few weeks now, but it was on sale.  BOO.  I know, normally on sale is a good thing.  The problem was that is was only like 20% off and I like to get 40% off.  But guess what, today it wasn't on sale and I could use the 40% off coupon that I ALWAYS have in my purse.  Helpful hint.  Learn your craft stores coupon policy.  My fave, Ben Franklin, takes any other competitors coupons.  I always make sure to check the web sites and if Ben Franklin doesn't have a current 40% off coupon chances are Hobby Lobby and Micheals will.  Then I just print out a few so I always have one.

For this wreath I just bought the green wreath (at 40% off), a wooden letter (that was on sale and for things less than $5 any sale price is good with me), and 3 pieces of scrapbook paper.

I just Mod Podged the paper to the letter and then made a few other embellishments.  Don't you love the wood grain chevron paper?

For some reason the black door and the fact that I was trying to take quick pictures before I had to head out the door to take 4 small kids to Chuck E Cheese on a Friday night made it so the color on the paper looks washed out, but trust me in person these are some bright, happy, little pinwheels.

When I was done I just hung it with some baker's twine.  Got to love that stuff.

Bring on SPRING... and the features.

I am in love with this chair from 52 Mantels.  And there is a tutorial for a super cute little bird pillow too.
I am also loving this cute chair from Welcome to The Mouse House.

Pom pom flowers in old jars.  What a great idea from My Simple Home Life.  Really great colors too.

I am such a fan of Robin's cakes.  Check out her polka dot Easter egg cake at Bird on a Cake.

And these Fizz recipes at Nest of Posies sound SO GOOD!! She uses mason jars with her blender.  I need to go see if my blender fits mason jars because that is just awesome.

I hope you enjoyed the features as much a I did.  Because they were so awesome.  Really good work ladies!!!
