Merry Christmas To All and To All A Good Night

How is it Christmas Eve tomorrow?  I am so far behind!
I have to let you guys in on a little secret.  I am pregnant.  My new sweet little baby should be arriving in mid-July as long as everything goes well.  But that means right now I am about 9 weeks along and have been very prego sick and tired for about a month now.  Add to that the fact that Thursday morning I woke up to a killer sore throat that quickly grew into a sore throat, fever, head and body ache kinda thing and I have been laying around dying for the past two days....  you can see why I am feeling behind.
But like we learn from the Grinch, Christmas isn't about boxes or bags it is about a little bit more and nothing can stop Christmas from coming.  Not even a sick mommy.  It will come just the same.
I hope you all have a VERY Merry Christmas.  And remember the joy and hope that was brought to us all by the birth of a baby so long ago.

Merry Christmas!
and Happy New Year!!!

  1. Oh Laura,

I'm so happy for you and hope you feel better soon.
Currently I'm up finishing gifts I meant to make two/three months ago. I'm getting ready to copy your wreath made of the paper circles for my Mom tomorrow. Because my family is of pretty good size, we celebrate on Christmas eve and then I get to go to my in-laws Christmas Day.

If I didn't say it before, I hope your holiday is all you want it to be and you have a Merry Christmas.

  2. Laura,

Gave my Mom the wreath this evening and she seemed to really like it. She asked how I made it and when I told her I used an old college directory of alumni she was surprised. I ordered this in 1997 when my husband and I were over seas and have lugged it around ever since. I'm glad to put it to good use.

  3. Wow you are like the 20th person (no joke) that is pregnant. Including myself. Yay for a JULY 2012 baby!! I know how it feels to be so sick and to have other sicknesses on top of that. I hope you feel better soon! Lots of sleep seems to do the best job for me.
