Bryce's Room Revamp Reveal

I took these pictures close to nap time so Bryce kept bringing me his blanket and practically begging me to put him in his bed.

I added a branch and some pom poms over his crib so he would have something fun to look at.

I switched out the old changing table for a Jenny Lind style one I painted blue a few years ago.  I was a really ugly dirty white when I got it.

You can find out more about the art here.  So when I husband saw the post about that art he asked, "where is that picture taken?"  And I was all like "In Bryce's room."  and he said "oh, I forgot there were two closets in there."  Yes, yes there are two closets in there.

Don't you just love the stripes on the ceiling??

The ceiling was the same color as the walls.  So I took some leftover flat paint from when I painted the ceiling in the family room and painted one coat.  Then I taped it off.  The stripes are 9.5 inches, because that is how big my cutting grid for quilting is and that just made it easier to measure.  Once it was taped, I painted the whole thing (especially over the tape)  with the other leftover white paint from the family room.  Once that was dry I painted every other stripe bicycle yellow.  Once that was dry I pulled the tape off and just had to smile.  I love the stripes.  They make the room so happy and Bryce it a really happy kid so it really fits his personality.

I am LOVING the book shelf.   I do find I read to Brycey more now that this book shelf is in his room.  Every afternoon when I get him up from his nap he goes over to the shelf, picks out a book and we read it together before we head down stairs and he loves to just go in there and pick out a book and read in his big comfy chair.  It is pretty much the cutest thing.
