More Great Baby Blanket ideas and tutorials

There are so many awesome baby blankets out there and I just didn't have time to make them all.  I know, I Know, I am such a slacker.  :)  Here are a few more really great baby blankets and some great tutorials.

Check out the double layer ric rac trimed receiving blanket tutorial at Sew Much Ado.

Or you can check out this raw edge blanket also at Sew Much Ado.

I don't know how to crochet. I did, but now I don't. But this blanket makes me want to learn again.  I think my very most favorite baby blanket is a crochet blanket that someone made for my mom when she was pregnant with my little sister, that my mom then gave to me, and I have used with all my babies.  I just love how stretchy and soft it is.  Perfect for getting a nice cozy swaddle. Anyway enough rambling from me, this lovely was made by Jill at Our Seven Dwarfs.

I love the wide binding on the blankets from Sew Dang Cute.  She used minky on the back, which I LOVE, but you could use this same tutorial with just about ant fabrics.

I think next time I have a baby I will have to give these fancy shmancy swaddle blankets a try.  They look like they would work great and they are so cute.  You can get the tutorial for these two at Prudent Baby.

And last but not least the self binding baby blanket.
There is a great tutorial at Tea Rose Home.

Well I think that pretty well covers baby blankets.  Tomorrow I promise some yummy baby quilt eye candy and then we will move on to stuff you make and take with you when you leave the house with baby.  After all you may not have showered in days and have poop and spit up on you, but at least your wipey case matches your diaper bag, car seat tent cover and travel blanket.   right?

  1. Love all these! Especially the last one! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Thanks so much for featuring my crocheted baby blanket set! What a great listing of baby blankets! You should definitely pick crocheting up again. There are a ton of easy tutorials out there!

  3. Where is the pattern for the baby crochet blanket with hat and booties?
