Zoo Train Birthday Cake

Would anyone like to guess who old Logan is?

I will give you a hint.

For Logan's 3rd birthday we had a Zoo birthday party (or boufday Pawdy as Logan would say).  He requested a cake with the zoo train, an elephant, giraffe, and a hippo.  This is what I came up with.

You can go here is see more pictures, like a close up of the little monkey driving the train.  I think he was my favorite.

We had an extended family party at the zoo.  It was so fun.  I totally suggest this to anyone, especially for a 3rd birthday.  It was so easy, low key and SO fun.  I made a special badge that said birthday boy so everyone would know it was his special day.  Also if you are planning a Zoo b-day check ahead to see what times and where the animal shows are so you can be in the right place at the right time.

So this is really just supposed to be my crafty blog, but I just have to share a few cute pictures form today.

The birthday boy riding a baby elephant.

Making friends with a monkey.  (When we told him those were Animal Crackers he said "Oh good, maybe the animals will be hungry.")

As it is with any picture I try to take of all my children together this is as good as it is going to get.  By the way they are being tigers so that explains the growling faces.  right...

I am LOVIN the Halloween skirt I made for Emma.

  1. That cake is absolutely ADORABLE!!! I LOVE it!!! You are the fondant queen :)

  2. LOVE the cake! LOVE the kids! SOOOO sad we didn't get to be at the Zoo Party! Tanner keeps asking every day if we can go to Logan's house and to the Zoo.

  3. Super cute cake!~ Make sure you link it up to first ever cooking link party!!!!

  4. i featured this on my blog today! thanks for sharing at my saturday soiree!

  5. That cake is adorable but I just looked at your "window lock" post and just seeing Logan's picture gave me palpitations! I'm so glad you are celebrating his 3rd birthday!

  6. I love Emma's skirt, especially the petticoat peeking out underneath it! Did you make it?

  7. I did make Emma's skirt. The petticoat is actually a separate skirt that I made for her to wear under her dresses ans skirts.

  8. I just love the way trains were incorporated here! Great job! This gave me great inspiration for planning my soon-to-be-four-year-old's birthday party.

  9. Awesome and interesting article. Great things you've always shared with us. Thanks. Just continue composing this kind of post.
