At first when I said I would like to be in charge of doing bingo for Emma's class Halloween party I thought I would just go online, find a Halloween bingo set, print them off and be done. But then when I started looking for already done bingo printables I couldn't find any I liked and most of them had images I wasn't really comfortable bringing into a first grade class. So I made my own.
I spent way to much time thinking of different Halloween things (like pumpkins, bats, spiders), googling them for free clip art and then downloading them. Then I found this wonderful site. It has a lot of really great, cute, not too scary images. So I down loaded them, imported them into Picasa, cropped them to an 8X10 and used the collage feature to make 10 different game boards. Them I printed out the 10 boards and 20 game pieces, mounted them to some SUPER cute Halloween paper (that I got 40% off on), and had them laminated (after all this work I definitely wanted to keep them around for next time.)
They worked great. This size was perfect for the little 5 min. stations at the party. Every kid was able to get a blackout just in time to move on to the next station. I used tootsie rolls as markers and then they got to pick a pixie stick when they got their first bingo.
I love this paper (although I must admit I am a bit of a cute scrapbook paper hoarder...and I should add fabric hoarding to that while I am confessing things.)
I thought about somehow giving you guys the boards, but for some reason I haven't done that yet. So, if anyone wants them let me know and I will post a pdf or something.
update: I went ahead and posted a pdf. Here

ReplyDeleteWOW! These are darling! I have twin boys who are celebrating their 6th birthday today! We are having a party later on and for one of the games I decided to play Bingo. I, too, thought I would just get online and copy some cards (fortunately for me this worked out better than I anticipated!) So many not very cute cards out there and then I lucked out and found your website! Thank you for saving me A LOT of time because I'm sure I would have made my own if I wouldn't have stumbled onto your site! Hugs to you! Mary
